Since Shyne’s release from the big house, heads have been anticipating his return to the rap game. Leaks like “Messiah” have kind of dampered that
anticipation, with Shyne sounding like a shell of his former self. “Belize” is the latest song to surface from Shyne Po, and it’s definitely… different. Shyne’s new voice is kind of grating on the ears, and the 50 Cent shots (“I’m about a dollar/ What the f*ck is 50 Cents”?) are tired. The beat, which samples Bob Marley, is definitely cool though, as is sampling Biggie on the hook.
