Lil’ Wayne is a Packers fan! That’s one more quirk in a long list of characteristically weird choices for the NOLA native. Weezy has made known his love for Green Bay in the past, but today he has made it abundantly clear. In honor of the superbowl Wayne has released a freestyle ode to The Green and Gold and posted it up on his site.
Borrowing the infectious chorus from Wiz Khalifa’s September 2010 smash “Black and Yellow,” Weezy easily rebrands the Pittsburgh Steelers anthem in favor of their Lombardi Trophy rivals. The product, “Green and Yellow,” is classic Lil’ Wayne: freewheeling, scatterbrained fun. “I’m in Wisconsin smoking Amsterdam / Yeah, I’m from New Orleans but I’m a Packers fan.” Yes you are Mr. Wayne.
