M.I.A. released an unfinished demo via Twitter early this morning titled “27,” which we caught wind of via Disco Naivete. Complete with lyrics on her Soundcloud site, the artist left a note dedicating it “to all my friends who died at 27.”

27 is the age that has taken many an artist from us, including Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and now, Amy Winehouse.
