Lil Wayne must have recently caught up with all the movies he missed while locked up at Rikers, because he chose Inception as the inspiration behind his new video for “6 Foot 7 Foot”. People were getting tired of Inception parodies by September of last year, but that ain’t stopping Weezy! Watch the Bamboozle headliner enter his dream state in the Hype Williams-directed vid below.
If you’re going to do an Inception bit, at least have the dream-within-a-dream-within-a-dream concept fill out your entire video. Lil Wayne drops in slow-mo Dom Cobb-style into a bathtub to wake up, but the majority of the clip is just random scenes and imagery that appear to have no connection. Maybe Weezy only dreams in non-sequiturs?
