Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of University of Florida cheerleader Saleha Huuda, whose badly burned body was found late last year.
Antonio D. Drayton, 24, has been charged with first-degree murder, grand theft, abuse of a dead human body, tampering with physical evidence and willful burning of lands, the Florida Independent Alligator reports. Cassandra M. Kimbrough, 42, has been arrested as an accomplice.
Huuda’s body was discovered Dec. 30 when police responded to reports of a brush fire near the Gainesville Raceway.
The Alligator reports that Huuda and Drayton used to be involved romantically. Drayton was previously accused of battering and stealing from Huuda.
Huuda, a family, youth and community services major and competitive club cheerleader, was 21.
