Men, here’s some free advice: If you’re going to cheat on your wife, make sure she doesn’t carry a badge and a gun.
A Palm Beach Corrections officer is on the other side of the law after she found some inappropriate things in her husband’s cell phone and started shooting at him.
Saida Douglas, 30, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm Wednesday for her angry outburst in the couple’s Lauderhill apartment.
On Tuesday night, Douglas and her husband, Michael, got into a fight over his cell phone content. It’s unclear what Douglas objected to in the phone, but it was enough to make her pull her pistol.

Douglas grabbed her hubby by the arm and began yelling at him. At some point, she took her service weapon, a .40 caliber glock, and took a shot in his direction.
Douglas defended his wife in court today, telling a Broward judge that she shot at him because she thought he was going to attack her. He claimed the gun misfired and that Douglas didn’t actually shoot at him.
Judge Jay Hurley said that story was thin – a little too thin for him to believe. What’s worse, the couple’s three kids were also in the home at the time of the incident.
“The court believes you took a shot at your husband and we have to be aware of the safety of your husband,” Hurley said.
Douglas has a $60,000 bond and has been placed on administrative leave from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
