New York, Dec 10, The woman who was found dead in a Manhattan hotel on the wee hours of Thursday has been identified as noted swimwear designer Sylvie Cachay. According to a law enforcement official associated with the case, the 33-year-old woman was found in the bathtub of hotel room that is located in the Meatpacking district of Manhattan. Authorities have confirmed that as of now no one has been charged in the case although cops are in the process of questioning Sylvie Cachay’s boyfriend Nick Brooks.
Sources reveal that the body of the much-acclaimed fashion designer was discovered at around 3 in the morning on Thursday, partially clothed in the bathtub of the lavish Ninth Avenue hotel. It has also been reported that Sylvie Cachay had bruise marks on her body and preliminary examination divulged that her hair had caught fire before she plunged into the bathtub. Despite the fact that the cause of the designer’s death continues to remain sketchy, investigators are suspecting that the 33-year-old designer might have passed away due to a drug overdose. However, owing to the bruise marks on her neck, authorities are not ruling out the possibility that the designer might have been strangulated.
In the meanwhile, a close friend of Sylvie Cachay has revealed to media outlets that the designer and her beau Nick Brooks had been romantically involved for the last two months and the two were sharing a turbulent relationship lately. The medical examiners are yet to ascertain the cause of the 33-year-old designer’s death, cops have confirmed.
