WEST PALM BEACH- six children were taken away from a West Palm Beach man after state investigators found that he had hit several of them with the flat side of a machete.
The Department of Children and Families called in the sheriff’s department to arrest 29-year old Miky Sinaise after five of the six children in his home, who ages ranged from 8 months to 8-years old, had bruises on their backs and chests; the 8-month old was the only child who was not bruised.
Sinaise was arrested and charged with a dozen counts of aggravated child abuse and neglect, according to the Palm Beach Post. The children were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center for evaluation.
DCF plans to place them with relatives or in a shelter until a judge decides if they will be allowed to return home or stay in the state’s custody.
