Interview with 2011 Juno Best Reggae Recording Winner Elaine Lil’Bit Sheppard


Rebel Vibes, Toronto: After the release of her single “Lady In The Streets,” Elaine Lil’Bit Shepherd has quickly been identified as a “hidden gem” with a new sound.

Lil’Bit was introduced to the Toronto reggae scene after being discovered by Carrie Mullings of iMOK Enterprises at the 2009 Junos in Vancouver, British Columbia.

With regular rotation airplay on community radio across Canada Lil’ Bit’s name was working it’s way to the top. Last June, Shepherd received the Most Promising New Artist Award at the 2010 RMAA’s,
and is now the recipient for the most prestigous award in the Canadian Music Industry. Her single “Likkle But Mi Tallawah” won the 2011 Juno for Reggae Recording Of The Year.
