RIHANNA will see in 2010 with dollar signs in her eyes — she’s set to earn $500,000 just for performing at a New Year’s Eve party!
The Russian Roulette hitmaker has been asked to sing a selection of her biggest hits at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi in what will be her first performance in the Middle East.
The 21-year-old was due to perform in Dubai earlier this year, which would have been her first show since she was attacked by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February.
“She was supposed to perform back in May but she canceled in the aftermath of the assault. This is a make-up date.” a source told the New York Post newspaper.
Rihanna recently admitted that she felt disgusted and embarrassed by claims she had only been signed to Jay-Z’s record label because she was having sexual relations with the rapper.
“It was like, ‘Of course she had to give Jay-Z oral sex to get that deal’,” she said. “That rumor was everywhere in Barbados and it was so disgusting.
“It made me feel really weird. I would even be weird around Jay-Z. I wouldn’t be able to look him in the eye.
“One day, he called and he was like, ‘Yo, you can’t buy into these rumors. You can’t let people move you with anything they say’. The rumors got very funny to me after that.”
