Can’t a lady MC just spit anymore? With all the beefing going on between Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Kim, Foxy Brown and now, even Jackie O, lost in the shuffle is veteran rhymer Rah Digga.
The Dirty Harriet star recently headlined an all-ladies lineup in Los Angeles and next month she’ll bring her talents to Brooklyn for a “Ladies First” show at Southpaw, alongside underground Toronto lyricist Eternia.
“To be honest, if you’re an artist and you’re just into the music, all that [beef] stuff is irrelevant,” Digga told Mixtape Daily. “All that stuff they’re fighting for has nothing to do with making good music or being an artist. It is what it is. It’s a fight about being a popular celebrity. It has nothing to do with music. And I don’t get caught up in that and I don’t deal with anybody in it.”
Instead, the New Jersey native continues to craft her well-received bars. The former Flipmode Squad member put out her Nottz-produced Classic LP last year, which was the first album by Digga since her 2000 debut. In the time elapsed since Dirty Harriet, the roaring female MC took up another trade and learned film editing at Manhattan’s New York Film Academy.
Now, with backing from a new label, Raw Koncept, and one release already out, Digga promises a follow-up (and mixtape) are coming sooner than expected.
“[Classic] was just an album that I wanted to do,” she explained. “I didn’t have any A&Rs in my ears. I put it out with Nottz and there it was. I think a lot of artists really don’t have that luxury, ’cause they’re too busy having to follow the label protocol and stuff. It’s one thing when you’re coming into the game and making music and trying to find your footing in the industry, per se. So you roll with the punches, which is part of what I did with Dirty Harriet. Not the music. But the ‘I don’t care about going platinum in the first week.’ I had other stipulations that I wasn’t budging from.
“You won’t have to wait another 10 years, I promise,” Digga added about her follow-up.
While the world still waits to hear her Lil Kim “Christmas Massacre” diss in its entirety, new pictures of Foxy Brown have surfaced showing her wearing green hair.
As previously reported, Foxy’s diss was set to drop Christmas Eve but was postponed until last Friday (January 7), when it was supposed to be premiered by Hot 97’s K. Foxx.
While that never happened either, a snippet of Foxy’s diss was leaked over the weekend to mixed reviews.
Now Foxy or “Machine Gun Kelly” as she calls herself, has since surfaced rocking the long green tresses.
Pictures show the rapper in a studio with two men with long green weave and nails to match.
For those of you wondering what happened to Foxy Brown’s planned Lil Kim diss record that was supposed to premiere on Christmas Eve, we’ve got a little bit more than we gave you guys yesterday on the situation.
Foxy Brown was scheduled to debut “Christmas Massacre” at a Christmas Eve party in New York City. Due to unknown circumstances, the venue for the party was changed, and Foxy was also a no-show at the party.
But apparently, the reason for Foxy’s absence was unrelated to the confusing venue information.
Fox tweeted yesterday that she was dealing with the unexpected loss of a loved one.
“I hope everyone had a blessed & beautiful Christmas.. my favorite time of the year. Still grieving the loss of someone special & dear to me. I’d like to personally apologize for the confusion and venue changing of the beautiful “Christmas In Brooklyn” party. Although the confusion fell far beyond my control, my responsibility and concern is to my fans and family; my priority. As I always say… the Devil’s at his busiest when ur about to get busy. My baby sis Wanda Dox, FOX Boyz, Ferrari, GT Nick, Sha, Britney Fox, Team FOX and all my die hard FOX fans… from my heart, I luv yall. Pray for ur girl. Something bigger’s going on. But GOD got me covered in his blood.”
First Update: We got word that Foxy Brown had a show in Brooklyn at Club Jelani Lounge; Christmas eve DEC 24, at the last-minute the promoters changed the location to Sander Studio Loft without informing anyone. Foxy was supposed to perform and release her new track “Christmas Massacre” dissing Lil Kim, but she never showed up to the event. At first, we were told that Foxy was there, open her gifts then left and never came back. Now, we are hearing that she was a no-show. Because Foxy didn’t show up to the event nor perform, the DJ’s, bloggers, and journalists weren’t given the track. TJKS in the process of reaching out to her management team to see what’s going on.
As soon as we get more information, we will update you guys. As of this time, no word on when “Christmas Massacre” will drop or if it will ever drop. taking all bets.
We looks like to pot is thicken as if the catfight between Lil’ Kim and newcomer Nicki Minaj isn’t enough, Foxy Brown is planning to enter the fray this Christmas.
According to several reports, Fox Boogie is planning to release a Lil’ Kim diss record of her own, entitled ‘Christmas Massacre,’ which she will be debuting at a holiday party performance in Brooklyn on Christmas Eve. Flyers for the performance hail Foxy’s diss “the most anticipated response since (Jay Z’s ‘Takeover’),” and further reveal that, while Fox will “address the issue with Lil’ Kim” during her performance, the diss track also features a “shout out to her girl Nicki Minaj.”
Though there’s been no love lost between Fox and Kim, a Christmas diss seems a bit remiss. Their longstanding animosity led to a shooting back in 2001, but Foxy appears to have been rekindling the war of words over the past year, releasing several subliminal disses, criticizing Kim for appearing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and her “bleached out face.”
Representatives for Foxy and Kim have been quiet about the upcoming ‘Christmas Massacre,’ which Foxy will be dropping during her performance at Brooklyn’s Club Jelani’s, on Dec. 24, 2010.

Last week, rapper Nicki Minaj sat down with Angie Martinez on Hot 97 to talk about her album and she talked about how the drama began with her and Lil Kim . Nicki mentioned that a few people, including rapper Foxy Brown, pulled her to the side and told her that Kim had been talking shit about her. So Nicki felt betrayed and let down and confused by it all because she had “shown Kim respect” and told Kim she had mad love for her already. But Foxy doesn’t recall that conversation at all. She tweeted: “For the record…”Nikki and I never had that conversation, ever.”

When “Roman’s Revenge” dropped, the blogosphere went crazy saying that the song was directed at Lil’ Kim. But Nicki never really confessed up to that and said it was about a “few” people. This chick said Kim wasn’t getting interviews or getting her music played to save her life until she came along. Fightin’ words. Nicki said this whole thing with Kim did hurt her feelings because she was such a fan of hers. She then revealed that it was actually Foxy Brown who pulled her to the side and let her know that Lil’ Kim had been saying nasty things about her. Messy!
I hope these ladies work it out. I mean I never heard about Dolly Parton getting at Reba McEntire. Or Madonna versus Cyndi Lauper. There’s enough room for everybody to “shine” ladies. I think..
Foxy Brown is back. And this time she wants to be considered for political position as The Youth Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago. Foxy says of her potential to hold down the political position:

I’ve forged many political alliances and I’m well-versed, articulate and educated.
