Word from Yard is that Spragga Benz, as of Friday afternoon listed as a person of interest by the Kingston East police. Investigators want to interview Spragga Benz, whose real name is Carlton Grant, in connection with the triple murder last night in the McIntyre Villa area of the Division.
Police have identified two of the dead men as 49-year-old Peter Escoffery, otherwise called ‘Stumpy’ of MacIntyre Villa, and Kenique Richards, otherwise called ‘Runkus’ of Lincoln Terrace.
About 11:40 pm, Escoffery and Richards were among several men at a shop watching TV when a group of men armed with high powered guns alighted from a motorcar and opened fire at them. Richards died on the spot. Escoffery and another man were taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition.
The third man has since died, police report.
Grant must report to the Police personnel at the Elletson Road Police Station by 2:00 pm tomorrow, police stated.
Persons with information on the whereabouts of Grant are asked to contact Operation Kingfish at 811, Crime Stop at 311 or Police Control Centre at 119.
It appears some Twitter beef just reared its ugly head and this time it involes R&B stars Rihanna and Ciara. The two spent this evening taking shots at each other via their Twitter accounts. Apparently, it started this evening when Ciara, a guest on the E! show Fashion Police, spoke on a recent run-in with Rihanna and said the “What’s My Name” singer wasn’t very pleasant. RiRi returned the slight via Twitter by tweeting, “My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme.” Ciara responded quickly, tweeting, ” Trust me Rhianna (sic) u dont want to see me on or off the stage.” The beef was brief: Both singers have apologized to each other over Twitter. Love has been restored. At least Ciara finds humor in it all. I can’t tell if Rihanna is being sarcastic, so we’ll have to see how this turns out. Now that Rihanna is single, the dating rumors have started up again…Rihanna is supposedly dating rock drummer Travis Barker. Sources are saying that the two have been friends for some time, and apparently went on a few dates back in the day. The two stayed in contact, and now that RiRi is single, they’ve hooked up again. Rihanna is scheduled to make an appearance in Travis’ new video, “Can A Drummer Get Some”, which films in LA next week.

Now I myself would consider Jennifer Hudson, she would be good to play Aretha. She has the voice and we know she can act. But when Aretha Franklin announced earlier in January that a film about her life was finally geting made, she asserted that Halle Berry would be playing lead. On Golden Globes Sunday, Berry said she didn’t have the vocal chops to do the role justice…. but that’s not stopping Franklin from wanting her for the role.
Franklin wrote in to the Wendy Williams Show on Monday, the site of her original announcement, to appeal to Berry to reconsider. Williams read the note aloud, which said, “Many actors have portrayed vocalists by lip-synching to the artist’s original recordings,” Franklin wrote.
Berry has yet to respond, though HuffPost Blogger Morris O’Kelly thinks that she is, in fact, perfect for the part.
World Star Hip Hop has not been shut down by 50 Cent. Angie Martinez of Hot 97 just had both 50 and Q from WSHH on air. In the 50 portion of the radio interview, he does not say that he in fact shut down the website. He does mention that there have been ongoing legal battles which stem from worldstarhiphop using his image to promote. Q, who represents WSHH came on the air shortly after 50, to clear things up.
Q claims that 50 Cent did not shut down World Star Hip Hop. He says that Homeland Security didn’t either… they are just experiencing technical difficulties with their hosting. I don’t know what to believe at this point as 50 claims he “might” be the reason for the shut down. Q says that WorldStarHipHop will be back online probably within 24 hours.

But singer Monica managed to keep hers a secret for over three months.
The Boy Is Mine collaborator wed her fiancé Shannon Brown, a basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers, on November 2010, just one month after announcing her engagement.
The singer, whose real name is Monica Arnold, talked to HipHollywood.com about the nuptials saying: ‘This is a very special time in my life.
‘I am blessed to have married the man that God sent me. He’s loving, compassionate, strong and supportive of my children, family and career. I look forward to our lives together.’
The ceremony reportedly took place at their Los Angeles home.
Monica and Shannon, 24, got engaged in October last year with the singer tweeting a picture of her enormous diamond engagement ring.
The pair met last summer when he played her love interest in the video for her song Love All Over Me.
The couple’s romance parallels that of Shannon’s team mate Lamar Odom and his whirlwind romance and wedding to Khloe Kardashian after just one month of dating.

The pop star and rapper duet on a hot new single called, ‘Fly,’ and they’re on set together working on the music video. Apparently, things turned a bit steamy (if not jokingly), if their tweets can be believed.
After tweeting a voluptuous picture of the two, Rihanna posted: “Me and Nikki in our new crib, lol! Gettin busy on set of FLY!!! Its so hard to keep my hands off!”
Not to be outdone, Nicki responded, “@rihanna lol. If we’re gonna liv 2gthr and hook up u gotta learn how 2 spell my name! Lmaooooooo. —- Gossip Gossip ni#@a just stop it! :p”

So rumor has it that the reason Usher had to cancel the Virginia leg of his tour last week was because his girlfriend, Grace Miguel, discovered he was sleeping with a backup dancer.
It looks like some people don’t learn their lesson. Usher is no stranger to infidelity. Back in 2004, he cheated on long term girlfriend Chilli from TLC with a woman he barely knew and got her pregnant. In 2009, he cheated on his wife Tameka Foster with his current girlfriend and now it looks like Usher’s back to his old ways. Last week Usher was forced to postpone the Virginia leg of his tour. The official reason for the postponement was that Usher” broke” his ribs. But insider sources are saying this was just a cover up.

We looks like to pot is thicken as if the catfight between Lil’ Kim and newcomer Nicki Minaj isn’t enough, Foxy Brown is planning to enter the fray this Christmas.
According to several reports, Fox Boogie is planning to release a Lil’ Kim diss record of her own, entitled ‘Christmas Massacre,’ which she will be debuting at a holiday party performance in Brooklyn on Christmas Eve. Flyers for the performance hail Foxy’s diss “the most anticipated response since (Jay Z’s ‘Takeover’),” and further reveal that, while Fox will “address the issue with Lil’ Kim” during her performance, the diss track also features a “shout out to her girl Nicki Minaj.”
Though there’s been no love lost between Fox and Kim, a Christmas diss seems a bit remiss. Their longstanding animosity led to a shooting back in 2001, but Foxy appears to have been rekindling the war of words over the past year, releasing several subliminal disses, criticizing Kim for appearing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and her “bleached out face.”
Representatives for Foxy and Kim have been quiet about the upcoming ‘Christmas Massacre,’ which Foxy will be dropping during her performance at Brooklyn’s Club Jelani’s, on Dec. 24, 2010.

Chelsea Handler continues to fan the flames of rumors that she and 50 Cent are dating.
“I don’t know why anyone thinks I would ever date a rapper,” she tweeted with the photo below of her in the arms of a fully-clothed 50, in bed.
The pair was first snapped together in New Orleans in October, and Chelsea soon denied they were dating. Recently she told Katie Couric that 50 is “really cute,” but was coy about discussing any romance.
