Rihanna’s father is not happy with the way this whole fiasco is turning out. The family thinks Chris needs to be in the clink:
Just hours after Chris Brown was charged with two felonies – assault and making criminal threats – in the alleged beating of his girlfriend, Rihanna, one of the Barbados-born pop star’s relatives tells PEOPLE, “It’s about time.” “He should be in jail,” Rihanna’s relative says of Brown, 19, who faces up to four years and eight months in state prison. “He deserves whatever he gets.” Contacted in Barbados, Rihanna’s father reacted with surprise and displeasure to detailed reports leaked earlier today about the alleged bloody assault on his daughter. “I was annoyed. I never hit my daughter,” says Ronald Fenty, 55. “Why should he hit her? Why would any one do that? I was crazy, but I don’t know the situation and I wasn’t there.” Rihanna, 21, and Brown have gotten back together since the incident, much to the dismay of her family. “No one wants them back together,” the relative told PEOPLE on Monday. “I don’t ever want her to go through this again.”
The family is also saying that they are being held off by Riri’s Hollyweird Handlers…
RIHANNA’s worried dad can’t get hold of his daughter and fears handlers have cut her off from her family following her fight with boyfriend CHRIS BROWN. Ronald Fenty reveals he reached out to his daughter after hearing she had been allegedly assaulted by Brown a month ago (08Feb09) – but discovered her email addresses and phone numbers had been changed. Fenty admits he and other family members have had to read about the ongoing controversy and Brown’s upcoming arraignment hearing on Thursday (05Mar09) in the press – because they can’t get the truth from Rihanna, real name Robyn Fenty. He tells UsMagazine.com, “I’ve been hearing so many stories… but I can’t get on to her. Her mother can’t get on to her, her brother told me she changed her email. Somebody has a stranglehold on her. I’m lost. “I’ll text the old numbers she had, and I call them. One girl answered, and she said, ‘This is not Robyn’s (Rihanna) number anymore.’ I asked, ‘Do you work for Robyn? Do you deal with Robyn?’ and the girl hung up, so I don’t know what’s going on anymore.” Fenty reveals the last message he had from his daughter broke his heart. He recalls,
“She said, ‘Daddy, I miss you.’ And that’s it. And I could not reply. I saw a number and texted back, ‘I miss you too.’ And I didn’t get another reply from her.”
