Sade tops the charts 24 years after her first number one

That’s what I’m talking about! Sade Adu, saw her latest album Soldier Of Love her first release in almost 10 years sell more than 501,000 copies in the last week giving it the coveted No1 spot across the Atlantic.

A music industry executive said: ‘It’s an extraordinary comeback. Most British artists strive for success across the Atlantic and never achieve it. But Sade has done it seemingly effortlessly.

The new album has also gone to No1 in Canada, France and Switzerland and is No4 in the UK chart. Sade who is estimated to be worth 30million has only toured once in the past 14 years. What she has done better than most is age with style and grace. She never comes across as the aging, fading star, desperate to remain young and hip, Sade is, obviously, someone who is mature, confident and comfortable in her own skin. Thank You Sade and Congrats!
