Chad Ochocinco and Evelyn Lozado Are Engaged!

Looks like NFL star and Dancing With the Stars contestant Chad Ochocinco will be making his next big play: marriage.

Ochocinco (real name: Chad Javon Johnson) and Eveyln Lozada will be making it official. The Bengals reciever confirmed the news to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning, saying: “Yeah, man. It’s time for me to sit down. Enough is enough. I’m 32, you know, my days are over.”

Rumors sprung up that the two were engaged after Lozada was spotted around Los Angeles sporting a monster 10-carat diamond ring. “I think I found everything I’ve been looking for in one person,” said Ochocinco.

What else is on the horizon? Perhaps a few little Ochocincos. “Maybe [we’ll have] a couple babies,” said Ochocinco. “You never know what’ll happen.”

Congrats to the happy couple!

Here Goes Your 2011 Grammy Nominations!

Eminem Leads With 10, Bruno Mars Has 7…..When Eminem was first nominated for album of the year some 10 years ago for “The Marshall Mathers LP,” it marked a milestone for the Grammys as it chose to honor an album that was considered masterful in its artistry yet morally bankrupt in its values.

On Wednesday, as the Recording Academy once again nominated Eminem for album of the year along with nine other bids, it again gave accolades to a foul but genius piece of work – Cee Lo’s “(Expletive) You,” an infectious retro groove with an unforgettable, unprintable chorus.

The tune, which is so profane it had to be changed to “Forget You” for radio play, was nominated for two top Grammy honors: record and song of the year.

“It wasn’t meant to be a radio song,” said Cee Lo after the nominations. “It was meant to be something with flair and first impression and it really took on a life of its own, and I had no idea it would become what it is today.”

It’s a sign of how much times, and Eminem himself, have changed that his leading nominations were not controversial, but expected and respected.

The person with the second-leading tally, Bruno Mars with seven, was not without his own drama this year, after being arrested in Las Vegas in a cocaine possession case, which is pending. It was the only negative in a brilliant year for Mars, who co-wrote “(Expletive) You” and was also featured on B.o.B’s “Nothin’ on You,” also nominated for record of the year.

“It’s just been a great year, incredible, incredible year, and I can’t believe this is happening to me,” said Mars, who was also nominated for best male pop vocal for his own hit, “Just the Way You Are.”

“We’ve worked so hard trying to make a living doing music and the fact that we’re here right now is incredible, incredible,” he added, speaking from Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles, where the nominations were announced as part of an hourlong live special on CBS.

Other top nominees included Lady Antebellum, Jay-Z and Lady Gaga, who were all nominated with six each. Gaga also was nominated for album of the year – the second straight nomination in the category for her.

For Eminem, “Recovery” was a critical and commercial triumph. It became the best-selling album of the year so far, with more than 3 million copies sold, and spawned top hits like “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, which was nominated for song and record of the year.

It also marked a stark contrast between the Eminem nominated 10 years ago and the one today. Back then, he was a stunning yet divisive figure whose violent imagery and slurs against gays and women outraged as many people as he entertained. Eminem would become one of the best-selling artists in the world and arguably rap’s greatest artist, but his stature was diminished as his battle with prescription drug addiction led to lags between albums and sub-par material.

With “Recovery,” an album that detailed his battles and how he overcame them, his status as the best rapper – and pop’s top artist – was restored.

Country trio Lady Antebellum couldn’t be more opposite than Eminem, but their album “Need You Now” was the second-best selling album of the year, doing almost as well as “Recovery,” with almost 3 million albums sold and fueled by the lovelorn title track – a huge crossover hit for the band. Grammy voters rewarded that success, nominating them for album of the year and record and song of the year for the hit.

Only last year, they were celebrating their first Grammy win.

“It’s been a wild and crazy year; it definitely feels like Christmas came early for us,” said Lady A’s Dave Haywood in a telephone interview after the awards were announced. He wasn’t watching with his bandmates, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, but they watched the special and texted each other.

“It’s just kind of complete shock that we’d be recognized, especially to be recognized in some of these all-genre categories,” said Haywood. “It’s pretty bizarre for a couple of rednecks from Tennessee and Georgia.”

Other nominees for record of the year included Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ anthem for New York, “Empire State of Mind.”

Rounding out the nominations for song of the year were Ray LaMontagne’s “Beg Steal or Borrow” and Miranda Lambert’s hit “The House That Built Me,” written by Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin.

Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” was one of the year’s top hits but was shut out of the record and song of the year categories. Yet Perry, who performed the hit on the nominations broadcast, was far from disappointed: Her album “Teenage Dream” was nominated for album of the year, along with Gaga’s “The Fame Monster,” “Recovery,” “Need You Now” and Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs.”

“It’s amazing. It’s like no other award show because I feel like you’re being recognized by your peers,” she said. “And there’s so many fantastic performers and artists that could be in this category, so when they nominate you, it feels like a win.”

Justin Bieber appeared on the show from London and the 16-year-old was rewarded for staying up: He was nominated for best new artist in a category that also included Drake, Florence & the Machine, Mumford & Sons and jazz artist Esperanza Spaulding.

“It feels amazing. I can’t believe I’m in this position. Thank you to the fans,” he said. “I don’t know what to say.”

The evening’s biggest snub may have belonged to Ke$ha. Even though the party-girl singer had a top-selling debut and several hit songs, she was not nominated for any awards.

Kanye West And Nikki Minaj Are #1 And 2 On Billboard

Kanye West and Nicki Minaj claimed the top two spots on the U.S. album chart Wednesday, but their opening-week sales fell below industry forecasts.

West led the Billboard 200 after selling 496,000 units of “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” during the week November 24, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Minaj followed at No. 2, moving 375,000 copies of her debut release, “Pink Friday.”

Some industry insiders had predicted in the early part of last week that the pair were on track to start with perhaps 550,000 and 400,000, respectively.

Nevertheless, West now logs his fourth consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and the fourth-best sales week of 2010. It’s also a better launch than the 450,000-unit start for his last set, 2008’s “808s & Heartbreak.”

Digital downloads accounted for 224,000 copies, or 45%, of West’s “Fantasy” sales. The number ranks as the fourth-biggest digital week for any set, behind the debuts of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” (288,000 in 2008), Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” (278,000 this year) and Eminem’s “Recovery” (255,000 this year). Each of those albums began with well over 700,000 units overall, making West’s digital debut more impressive because of its ratio of digital-to-physical copies. Amazon offered “Fantasy” for the entire week at just $3.99, while iTunes did not promote the album on the front its store until Saturday.

Minaj scored the second-best sales week for a female hip-hop act. Only Lauryn Hill has done better, when “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” started at No. 1 with 423,000 in 1998.

After two weeks at No. 1, Susan Boyle’s “The Gift” fell to No. 3 with 263,000 copies, while Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” rose five spots to No. 4 with 241,000 copies on the heels of her NBC Thanksgiving TV special.

Jackie Evancho’s “O Holy Night” dropped three to No. 5 with 142,000, and Rihanna’s “Loud” was also down three to No. 6 with 141,000.

Justin Bieber’s Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club-exclusive set “My Worlds Acoustic” debuted at No. 7 with 115,000 units. It’s the teen’s third top 10 entry in a little over a year. His first came with his debut album, “My World,” which arrived at No. 6 a year ago.

My Chemical Romance’s “Danger Days: the True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys” bowed at No. 8 with 112,000. Its last studio set, 2006’s “The Black Parade,” started at No. 2 with 240,000.

The final debut in the top 10 this week came from Ne-Yo’s fourth release “Libra Scale,” which weighed in at No. 9 with 112,000 (about 200 copies behind My Chemical Romance), the R&B singer/songwriter’s lowest debut sales week. He did best with his first album, 2006’s “In My Own Words,” which opened at No. 1 with 301,000 units.

The “Glee” Christmas album fell two to No. 10 with 108,000 (down 33%).

Some notable new releases failed to make the top 10. They included Ke$ha’s “Cannibal” (No. 15, 74,000 units) and the soundtrack to “Burlesque” (No. 18, 63,000 units).

Overall album sales totaled 10.24 million units, up 26% from the previous week, but down 5% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009. Year to date album sales stand at 272.02 million, down 13% compared to the same total at this point last year.

Kanye West secured the No. 1 slot on the nation’s album sales chart, though it did not top the half-million sold mark, a number that had been widely predicted for “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”

West’s fourth album is his fourth straight No. 1, selling 496,000 copies, according to data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. Industry observers had estimated the album would land around 550,000 units sold in its first seven days of being commercially available.

Fueling the anticipation for bigger numbers was West’s presence at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the sale price of download at Amazon.com — $3.99 for the album. “Fantasy” sold 224,000 digital copies — 45 percent of its total sales — which Billboard has reported in is the fourth-biggest digital week for an album.

Side note and for the record back in 1996 we didn’t have Amazon, itunes, or other ways to download music and we dam sure in the hell didn’t pay 3.99 for a CD prices back then was from 12.75 to 17.99 for a CD….Think About it!!!!

Fans Respond to Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj Feud

According to MTV, fans are weighing in on the heated feud between female rappers Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim, on the heels of Lil’ Kim’s diss to Minaj around the time of the release of her highly anticipated debut album Pink Friday.

While some fans think both MC’s are to blame, others think Minaj should respond to the Brooklyn performer.

“I just listened to Lil Kims fully Nicky Diss n GotD*mmit I dont know what you HipHop fans is on but she gotta respond to that one I’m sorry,” a fan tweeted on Friday. “Anybody that think that record is wack must just not like Kim as a person… Ain’t nothing wrong that record it’s Just that Nicky is so good.”

“Nicki has completely different style than Kim” another fan said. “Nicki is unique and original and there is no one like her. Kim was my girl when I was like 12, but Nicki has taken over. Nicki may have talked some s*** but so did Kim. So both sides need to see their place.”

“Damn! Maybe Nicki should have taken her own advice and kept quiet” another fan, Journey, said. “Kim let her get some shine off her name and now she pretty much destroyed this wack wannabe popstar chick.”

Perhaps the most insightful reaction to them all is this one: “The more you entertain bulls–t, the more people that think bullshit is entertaining” someone tweeted. “Only winners in Kim-Nicki beef r the labels.

Lil Kim Talks Nicki Minaj & New Album

Before Lil Kim dropped the latest diss, she responded to Nicki Minaj’s jabs on H8terade Radio a day ago. In her words:

“That was cute for her. Bitches like her do shit like that. Talk on ho, it’s easy talk when them album sales aint back yet.”

“Since you talking ’bout the history books, let’s talk about the fucking History books damn it. Bitch I got a grammy, bitch. I got number ones sweety. Source gave my last album 5 motherfucking mics ho. What the fuck they give you?”

“You got alot to learn mama. Respect the queen, stay in the princess section. Stay in yo lane mama.”

She also talked about her new album Hard Core 2: All Hail The Queen stating that it will be her strongest album yet. Some of the producers involved are Will.I.am, Polo Da Don, The-Dream and The Neptunes

The Hits Keep Coming Foxy Brown & Lil Kim Attack Nicki Minaj,

Is Foxy Brown gearing up to take on Pink Barbie?….New York rap rivals Foxy Brown and Lil Kim have both shown their disapproval of Nicki Minaj as of late by going after the Young Money star.

Last week, rapper Nicki Minaj sat down with Angie Martinez on Hot 97 to talk about her album and she talked about how the drama began with her and Lil Kim . Nicki mentioned that a few people, including rapper Foxy Brown, pulled her to the side and told her that Kim had been talking shit about her. So Nicki felt betrayed and let down and confused by it all because she had “shown Kim respect” and told Kim she had mad love for her already. But Foxy doesn’t recall that conversation at all. She tweeted: “For the record…”Nikki and I never had that conversation, ever.”

Recap Of Hot 97 Interview:
During an interview with HOT 97’s Angie Martinez, Nicki Minaj threw stones and didn’t hide her hands when asked about her Lil’ Kim “issue.” Find out what she had to say inside…

When “Roman’s Revenge” dropped, the blogosphere went crazy saying that the song was directed at Lil’ Kim. But Nicki never really confessed up to that and said it was about a “few” people. But in yesterday’s interview, Nicki took the gloves off and got dirty. Or maybe she put the gloves on and got ready for a fight. You decide.

On Lil’ Kim’s constant barbs at her:

“She just really jumped out the window (regarding Lil’ Kim taking this drama so far). You have to watch who you pick fights with. I think people mistake me for a real Barbie. And they forget where I’m from. And if I have to revert back, I can and I will. Don’t play with me.”

On paying homage to Lil’ Kim:

“I respect you. I love you. I have said it time and time again. And if that’s not good enough for you mama… then there’s something deep rooted in you…That’s your insecurity bothering you. It’s not Nicki Minaj. It would have been any girl that started popping.”

On why she thinks Lil’ Kim is hating:

“You know what scares people? Success. When you don’t make moves and you don’t climb the ladder everybody loves you because you are not competition. But once you start to make moves…”

On respect in the rap game:

“We all take from each other. Nothing is new under the sun. Why in the black communities do we need to hate on each other? Instead of saying thank you for showing me love….thank you for keeping my name alive. The same way she opened doors for me, I’m opening doors for her. Do you understand what I’m saying? Because nobody was playing your music and you damn sure couldn’t get an interview to save your life. But now you getting interviews and every time you do an interview they ask you about Nicki Minaj.”

This chick said Kim wasn’t getting interviews or getting her music played to save her life until she came along. Fightin’ words. Nicki said this whole thing with Kim did hurt her feelings because she was such a fan of hers. She then revealed that it was actually Foxy Brown who pulled her to the side and let her know that Lil’ Kim had been saying nasty things about her. Messy!

I hope these ladies work it out. I mean I never heard about Dolly Parton getting at Reba McEntire. Or Madonna versus Cyndi Lauper. There’s enough room for everybody to “shine” ladies. I think..

Lil Kim vs. Nicki Minaj While Sales Do The Talking

Lil Kim disses Nicki Minaj, causing controversy the day after Thanksgiving. The bottom line for Nicki Minaj this week is sales, regardless of ongoing disputes with Lil Kim.

On November 26, Lil Kim “Black Friday” lyrics responded to Nicki Minaj’s interview with Hot 97 radio station in New York. Her words include “It’ll be a murder scene, I’m turning Pink Friday to ‘Friday the 13th’.”

Nicki Minaj discussed the beef with Lil Kim during her Hot 97 interview. According to MTV, Minaj said, “She just really jumped out the window. You gotta be careful when you pick fights. That’s what I’ve learned in this business; you just never know. I think people get me mistaken for a real Barbie. They forget where I’m from, and if I have to revert back, I can and I will. So don’t play with me.”

Nicki further stated, “When you’re a girl, you have to be everything. You have to be dope at what you do but you have to be super sweet and you have to be sexy and you have to be this, you have to be that, and you have to be nice. It’s like, ‘I can’t be all those things at once. I’m a human being.’ ”

The two New York MCs are getting into it right before the release of a new trailer for Nicki Minaj. On November 28 at 10 p.m., MTV will debut the trailer for the documentary, “Nicki Minaj: My Time Now.”

Meanwhile, CNN reports rappers Nicki Minaj and Kanye West are expected to have a big week with the release of their respective albums. Minaj’s debut album, “Pink Friday,” is anticipated to sell over 400,000 units. The potential achievement could mean Minaj has the best sales week for a female hip-hop artist since sales were tracked in 1991 by Nielsen SoundScan.

JUST RELEASED LIL KIM ” BLACK FRIDAY ” NICKI MINAJ DISS!!

In a battle between the two rappers, Lil’ Kim takes to the mic to shoot a few jabs at rival, Nicki Minaj.

The war between Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim goes to another level with Kim’s release of “Black Friday” on New York’s Hot 97 radio station.

“I hate you Lil’ Kim clone/clown, all this buffonery, the sh– stops now. . . . We all know your last name is what got you your job, you’s a put together gimmick, something like a collage,” spit’s the rapper.

“Black Friday,” which is done over Pharoahe Monch’s “Simon Says” beat, goes on to say, “It’ll be a murder scene, I’m turning Pink Friday to ‘Friday the 13th.’”

Drake even takes a stand defending Nicki, saying he doesn’t “respect” Lil’ Kim’s insults.

Lil’ Kim’s response: “Yeah, this hood sh– you and Drake ain’t built for, this the sh– the other bitch almost got killed for.”

In response to the digs, Minaj told Hot 97, “She just really jumped out the window. You gotta be careful when you pick fights. That’s what I’ve learned in this business; you just never know. I think people get me mistaken for a real Barbie. They forget where I’m from, and if I have to revert back, I can and I will. So don’t play with me.”

In Nicki’s trailer for her MTV documentary, Nicki Minaj: My Time Now, she talks about double standards and being an assertive woman in the business.

“When I am assertive, I’m a bitch. When a man is assertive, he’s a boss. He bossed up. No negative connotation behind ‘bossed up.’ But lots of negative connotation behind being a bitch. Donald Trump can say, ‘You’re fired.’ Let Martha Stewart run her company the same way and be the same way. [People will say] ‘F—ing old evil bitch!’ But Donald Trump, he gets to hang out with young bitches and have 50 different wives and just be cool. ‘Oh, Donald, we love you, Donald Trump!'”

SERIOUSLY…if u think this is wack, 9 times out of 10 you yourself have NO flow & your collection sucks, & YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HIPHOP MUSIC IS

Lil Kim Black Friday Lyrics

[Nicki Minaj Talking]
Roman’s Revenge, um,
you know, she just really jumped out the window
and you gotta be careful when you pick fights
and that’s what I’ve learned in this business
you just never know…

[Lil’ Kim]
Shut the f-ck up

Who the f-ck want war
FedEx beef straight to your front door
It’ll be a murder scene
I’m turning Pink Friday to Friday the 13th
Aight you Lil Kim clone clown
all this buffoonery, the shit stops now
time for you to lay down, I’m sick of the fraud
I put hands on this bitch like a spa massage
we all know your last name is what got you a job
you use to put together gimmicks something like a collage
since you putting on a show, you gon’ get the appaulse
clap clap, lift your frame like a f-cking garage, yeah
this hood sh-t you and Drake ain’t built for
this the same sh*t the other bitch almost got killed for
I’m still counting what hardcore generated
bet my sh-t keeps spinning like it’s syndicated
corny broad I’ll you bloody like you menstruated
your hot air ass bitch should have been deflated
this aint a championship fight I’ve been the greatest
see the fact is, what you doing I did it
lames trying to clone my style, run with it
thats cool, I was the first one with it
you deluded kim wannabe you just hate to admit it
I’m the Blueprint you aint nothing brand new
check ya posters and videos, you’ll always be number 2
I seen ‘em come, I seen go, I still remain
sweety, you going on your 14th minute of fame
I’m over 10 years strong still running the game
cut the comparisons, I’m in the legendary lane
fighting for ya spot, y’all please, I’m solidified
with my hands tied, you couldn’t beat me if you bitches tried
either you high, or sipping that sh-t Wayne on
I get top dollar for whatever my name on
go stick your head in a tornado, brainstorm
I drop bombs, FLex, Napalm
black and yellow, will pull up in your ghetto
Giuseppe’s when I step out, posted up in stilettos
p-ssy so pink like my kitty saying hello
if I whistle, they’ll pistol whip you in all five borough’s
I’m in Brooklyn, I’ll be everywhere comfortably
who pumped you and told you to come rump with me
you the type to run your mouth and then run from me
I’m poppin’ off in your hood with no company
come on, Queens aint showing you no love
I was there the other night poppin’ bottles with the thugs
you like Washington Heff(?) I’m Benjy.
You got a buzz right now, an’ I had a frenzy
oh yeah, welcome to the fam’, Fendi
you need to stop, you’re not hot, you’re a burning match
that means the end is near soon, copy that
oh I see, they really got you gassed like
I’mma think of the past
better slow down dummy, you bout to crash
stink p-ssy hoe, I’m giving you a bath
thermometer in hand and I’m coming for your ass

I see right through you, you’re whole sh-t is made of glass

[Nicki Minaj]
You see right through me
How do you do that sh…

[Lil Kim]
I draw back, I’m a Brooklyn thorough bred bitch
rep for my borough bitch
never been the type to have beef and try to settle sh-t
I ride out till the wheels fall off
and my n-ggas squeeze til the last shell go off
f-ck ya whole team, all I see is a bunch of weirdo’s
you’s a airhead bitch, scarecrow
haha, aint nothing old but my money bitch
hahaha, this is grown liquid assests
Benjamin’s my daddy you Young Money bastards
you and Diddy, sorry bunch of swagger jackers
I mothered you hoes, I should claim you on my income tax
Bobby Fischer in the flesh, taught by the great
so on my next move, I’m yelling checkmate

I smell a massacre
Charles Manson you don’t stand a chance with her
Jeffrey Dahmer you looking like lunch to me
I’m bout to kill all you bitches like Ted Bundy
leave you’re whole head red like Peg Bundy
you’re hilarious, thanks for all the laughs
you’re garbage so I’m taking out the trash
you sh-t on me, come on baby girl
ain’t enough ass shots in the World
you’re a nuisance, you probably steal my new sh-t
but you could never f-ck with me so chuck it up, Deuces
all around the World I ball like a ball team
I stack chips, call me Mr’s Rosteam
tricks is for kids, silly rabbit, your my offspring
Kim more anticipated than a Lebron ring…

Lil Kim mocking Nicki Minaj: “I mean, I know… I know you
guys asked me if Roman’s Revenge was about Kim…
and no, I, it’s not about Kim… Actually if Kim thought it
was about her, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry, I apologize,
Kim. I don’t know, I just had temporary insanity… I lost my
teeth and my mind…”

Chris Brown Gets Another Big Ups Probation Report

During a regularly scheduled progress report hearing stemming from his conviction of felony assault, singer Chris Brown received a glowing commendation from the judge, the Associated Press reports. The singer was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labor last year after being found guilty of assaulting then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg announced during Thursday’s hearing that the R&B singer is close to completing his required domestic violence counseling and has completed almost 73 of 180 days of community service.

“Out of thousands of probationers, no one has done a better or more consistent job than you have, and I really want to commend you for taking responsibility and for actually working diligently to complete all the things the court has required of you,” Judge Schnegg told Brown.

As part of his probation, Brown is required to do physical labor such as graffiti removal and roadside cleanup duties. Judge Schnegg is allowing the singer to complete the community service in his home state of Virginia though he is required to return to Los Angeles to check in regularly for progress reports.

“Obviously he’s gratified and he’s working hard to live up to everyone’s expectations,” said Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, said after the hearing.
