If you haven’t seen Matt Kemp and Rihanna coupled up lately, I think I know why…Rumor has it the relationship is over. Apparently there’s been a lot of cheating on both sides and the couple have called it quits.
With Kemp partying in his off-season, and Rihanna traveling the globe promoting her music, the two slowly drifted apart..Kemp’s penchant for clubbing was also partly to blame for the demise of their relationship.
Word on the street is Matt left a Hollywood club last week with two girls in tow and brought them home.
Sherri Shepherd channeled her inner lovestruck teenager when Prince made a surprise visit to “The View” on Thursday.
The rock icon was there to promote his upcoming tour, with free tickets for all of the co-hosts. But it was Sherri who basically lost all control, so overcome was she by his appearance.
While the others chatted with Prince about his tour and his thoughts on Justin Bieber, Sherri sat next to him, hand on heart, breathing deeply. Her two questions? “Will you say, ‘Sherri, I love you?'” and “can I have your glove?” Prince obliged on the first, but declined to give her his glove.
“You don’t understand!” she said. “I’ve wanted to make love to you for my whole life!”
A week after undergoing surgery for a mystery illness, the National Enquirer reports (via PopCrunch) that famed singer Aretha Franklin has incurable pancreatic cancer.
The surgery, labeled a success, came under mysterious circumstances. This is the first time this illness has been reported. In November, she canceled all concerts through May 2011 due to “medical reasons.”
The Enquirer’s report lists pancreatic survival rates at 5-10%, and even lower for someone of Franklin’s age and weight.
Nicki Minaj has opened up about her feelings on Lil Kim in light of recent public disses directed at her in interviews and on records. When asked if Kim’s disses push the achievements and unity of female emcees back, Minaj admitted the Queen Bee is not helping the rap game.
“It does, it does. But the thing that I want to promote is that if you see someone doing their thing, give them their props. We all have it hard and face the same challenges as female emcees. Show some mutual love and respect for each other so that it doesn’t get nasty. And she can be a nasty character.”

Baby Referees Nicki Minaj/Lil Kim Feud, “Nobody Has To Be Saluted”
Cash Money Records’ Baby has stepped in-between the current tension surrounding Young Money star Nicki Minaj and rap veteran Lil Kim.
Speaking in defense of Minaj, Baby said the Cash Money/Young Money imprint has never looked to profit from rap beefs.
“Well, you know with Nick we’re just doin’ music, I don’t care to get caught up in that and I don’t care to make money off of that,” he said in an interview. “We never f*cked with that. It is what it is. That’s not our thing, but it is what it is so we gotta let it be what it be…Nicki is grown, Nicki does her own thing, I don’t think she has to — nobody has to salute or be saluted, we in this hustlin’ … The hustle gonna make you salute, just watchin’ a n*gga grind and see how he shine. Nicki’s with her team, we ain’t doin’ nothing [except] putting out good music. So if somebody’s f*ckin’ with that, to me, they’re violating. Bullsh*t don’t weigh nothing, the grind and the money do.”
Aretha Franklin says her surgery was “highly successful” and thanks well-wishers for their prayers. In a statement released Thursday to The Associated Press, the Queen of Soul says: “God is still in control. I had superb doctors and nurses whom were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country.”
Franklin did not say what she was being treated for Thursday.

A community prayer vigil has been held in Detroit for Aretha Franklin, a day before organizers say the singing legend is to undergo a medical procedure.

Now that his ‘Decoded’ book is on the New York Times Bestseller list, Jigga Man has reportedly closed a deal that will bring his 40/40 Club sports bar franchise to select nationwide airports across the country.
Here’s the deal on Jigga’s new deal:
The rap mogul, who is one of Forbes magazine’s top celebrity earners, has now teamed with Delaware North Companies to bring his upscale sports bar to airports around the country. Currently, the hospitality and food service company operates dozens of restaurants and shops in more than twenty major U.S. airports.
According to the Delaware North Companies’ vice-president of business development, Robert Stanton, the new venture will allow sports fans the opportunity to watch “every sports game you can think of” in an atmosphere which features personalized jerseys of some of today’s hottest players.
40/40 co-owner Desiree Perez says that the new venture will certainly grow their business.
“The 40/40 Club is all about creating first-class experiences for guests who want to relax and watch their favorite games,” Perez said. “We want to see our club grow, and to bring those experiences to travelers. A partnership with Delaware North will do just that.”
In 2003, the Grammy Award-winning rapper opened the first 40/40 Club in his hometown of New York with partners Juan and Desiree Perez. Its name refers to the prestigious Major League Baseball achievement when a player hits 40 home runs and steals 40 bases in a single season – an achievement held by only four baseball greats including Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Jose Canseco and Alfonso Soriano.
The original 40/40 Club opened in 2003 will shut down for renovations from April until July of 2011. But, their second location in Atlantic City will remain open. The Brooklyn MC also had a 40/40 Club in Las Vegas for eight months before the Palazzo decided to turn the space into a sports betting window and buy it back.
